OJSC «Novoroslesexport», city of Novorossiysk, is the largest seaport in the South of Russia specialized in handling, storage and processing of timber cargoes. It possesses drying, processing and packaging capacities.
Container handling is a new activity for the port. During a short period of time OJSC «Novoroslesexport» has recommended itself as a reliable partner, and engaged in partnership with three largest linear shipping companies (Maersk-Sealand, MSC, Hapag-Lloyd).
At the year 2002 5-year project of complex port reconstruction has been started. The project includes reconstruction of piers for servicing vessels of Panamax class, creation of modern container and timber terminals capable to handle 250 000 TEU of containers and 2,5 mln. m3 of timber cargoes per annum.
