Public Joint Stock Company Stroytransgaz was founded in 1990. Today OAO Stroytransgaz is a leading oil and gas construction company in the Russian Federation. The company is capable to yearly install over 3 thousand km of large-diameter pipelines, construct and reconstruct up to ten 80-96 MW gas pumping stations, and construct a number of industrial and civil facilities. The company implements construction with highest quality and at good pace.
The company corporate structure today includes 52 enterprises employing over 20 thousand people and operating in oil & gas construction, hydrocarbon production and industrial manufacturing. The company divisions and branch and representative offices operate in 21 regions of Russia and 14 countries abroad.
OAO Stroytransgaz main business fields in Russia and abroad are associated with implementation of oil and gas projects, including:
- Engineering services - designing facilities, development and provision of the most up-to-date construction technologies, supply and installation of equipment, testing and commissioning of facilities;
- Construction of pipeline systems, upstream development in oil sector, construction of subsurface gas storage facilities;
- Construction, upgrade and reconstruction of compressor stations and booster stations;
- Capital repairs for trunk pipelines and pipeline infrastructure;
- Exploration, development and operation of oil and gas fields;
- Production of pipeline fittings and modular block;
- Production of boiler and gas metering equipment;
- Production of rotary excavators, special pipeline construction equipment and large-capacity transportation vehicles;

OAO Stroytransgaz is an active member of International Pipe Line and Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA). Furthermore, OAO Stroytransgaz was one of the companies that initiated and founded the Russian sector industrial group, Russian Oil and Gas Construction Union (ROGCU).
OAO Stroytransgaz was among first Russian construction companies who developed and presently apply Quality System for designing, engineering, management and construction of pipelines, oil-gas facilities and infrastructure. This Quality Management System complies with international standards and is TUV-certified since 1999. In August 2002 the company was successfully recertified for the compliance of Quality Management System with ISO 9001:2000 International Standards (TUV Certificate No. 15 100 9570).
