JSC «Tamanneftegas» And the transshipment complex for liquefied hydrocarbons and oil products in Tamansky Peninsula
JSC «Tamanneftegas» has been established in 2000 and is the successor of the previous JSC «Neftegas» in implementation of the Project of construction of Tamanskaya Base of Liquefied hydrocarbons. The owner of the main packet of shares and the investor for the realization of the project of JSC «Tamanneftegas» is JSC «Company Russky Mir ».
The establishment of Tamansky terminal for transshipment of liquefied gas and oil in general corresponds to the concept of development of seaports of Krasnodar Region for the period to 2020. At the end of 2002 the decision has been taken on the joint construction of the base for liquefied hydrocarbons with the terminal for oil and oil products export with the capacity of 9.5 mln t annually. This project is profitable due to the dynamic development of oil and gas branches of industry in the South-West of Siberia, in Kazakhstan, in Caspian region and in the South of Russia.
The locality is exceptionally advantageous for oil companies and oil refineries in using the terminal for the transshipment of their products not only in the sense of costs, distances and possibilities of combined railroad and sea shipping but also for reduction of political risks.
Terminal is a necessary infrastructure for the development of the potential and growth of export of oil and gas industry of Russia.
