From September 28 to October 1, 2006 the V Jubilee International Economic Forum KUBAN-2006 is to take place with support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russian Federation.

- the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russian Federation;
- the Administration of the Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Southern Federal District;
- the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation;
- the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russian Federation;
- the administration of Krasnodar Region.

COORDINATOR OF THE FORUM:
- the department of Economic Development, Investments and Foreign Relations of Krasnodar Region.

TECHNICAL OPERATOR OF THE FORUM:
- the Krasnodar Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

THE MAIN PURPOSES OF THE FORUM:
- to organize an international center of communication for the most competent representatives of Russian and foreign business, scientific communities and government structures on the problems, related to attracting investments to the economy of Russia;
- to develop the industrial and scientific-technical potential of Russian enterprises and organizations by means of attracting foreign partners for joint realization of investment projects in the sphere of activity, represented at the forum;
- to protect the interests of Russian enterprises and organizations in view of Russian joining the WTO, to draft proposals for the Government of RF;
- to discuss the most effective mechanisms of private sector and government partnership upon realization of investment projects in the regions;
- to prepare recommendations for federal government bodies and the RF Federal Assembly in order to elaborate new ones, and to enter changes in the current legislative acts and bylaws;

PARTICIPANTS OF THE FORUM
Russian and foreign business communities, representatives of federal bodies of legislative and executive power, executive power bodies of constituent entities of Russian Federation, of diplomatic and trade missions.

ARRANGEMENT OF THE EXHIBITION DISPLAY
The exhibition display is to be arranged in easily constructed pavilions and at open sites in the city of Sochi. It is planned to increase the total area from 4,500 sq. m up to 7,000 sq. m.
The exposition is to include:
- a pavilion for collective exposition of Krasnodar Region organizations;
- pavilions for branch exposition of investment projects of enterprises from regions of Russia;
- a pavilion for stands of the forum sponsors.

STRUCTURE OF THE BRANCH EXPOSITION
It is supposed to represent in the branch exposition the manufacturing and scientific potential of regions of Russia regarding the realization of programs and projects (including large and medium-sized), possessing investment attractiveness for Russian and foreign partners.

The exposition consists of ten sections:
- industry;
- energy;
- transport;
- information technologies and telecommunications;
- agriculture;
- construction;
- science and education;
- healthcare, recreational complex, sports;
- housing and utilities infrastructure;
- natural resources and ecology.

BUSINESS PROGRAM
The business program of the forum supposes conducting of:
- round tables on the issues of attracting investments;
- presentation of investment projects (an investment supermarket);
- seminars on the issues of international cooperation;
- briefings and press conferences;
- a number of other events.
Within the framework of the forum it is planned to organize the work of “a stock-exchange of contacts” (a business club), to conduct festival ‘Kuban Wines” and sectoral conferences.
The events of the business program are to be held at open sites in front of the Winter Theatre, in Festivalnyi concert-hall (a plenary meeting), in the building of Sochi Marine Passenger Terminal, and a business center of Radisson SAS Park Hotel.

DECORATIVE DESIGN
It is supposed to provide for complex artistic setting of exhibition pavilions and buildings, where the events of the forum business program are to be held, the building-up of the display at an exhibition with the use of modern technologies and materials. The exhibition stands are to contain elements of design, providing for the unity of stylistic solution of the exposition.

CULTURAL PROGRAM
An extensive cultural program is envisaged for participants of the forum, which includes concerts of famous Russian and foreign theatre and musical artistic groups and performers, a number of sports and entertainment events.
