I sincerely greet all participants of V International Economic Forum Kuban-2006. I am glad to note that the number of participants is growing each year. That testifies to the fact that the Forum has become a significant event in economic life and a place where future business partners meet and a birth place of new investment projects.

Evidently, that associates with good tradition of resent years continued in Kuban to keep its social and political stability, rate of economic growth are evident.

Our region is among the ten leading constituent entities of the Russian Federation in terms of regional gross product growth, level of small business development, consumer market, rates of budget incomes growth of all levels and volume of investments. Legislative basis formed in the Region is recognized as the best one in Russia, significantly contributed to that.

Now we are facing real effects of the work of such economic forums. Dozens of enterprises with foreign capital are successfully operating in Kuban, new working places are established, significant social projects are implementing in towns and settlements of the Region.
